Peavey Manul for Sound Board
Video Switch Layout

Each Sunday we man the "booth" for all three services. Generally, a crew of 2 or 3 work the first two services, 8:30 and 9:30, and a crew of 1 works the 11:00 service. The idea is to have enough team members to only have to serve every other or say 1 in 3 services. We have a few team members that work occasionally on an as needed basis, so any amount of help is really quite helpful. A full 3 person crew consists of a Video Operator, a Computer Projection Operator, and a Sound Person. In addition, a crew of youth, also part of the media team, meet the needs of the PYRO service.

The video operation is both the hardest and the easiest.  This is because no preparation is necessary but the real-time operation of 4 remote cameras is quite challenging.  The video feed is sent LIVE over the internet as well as to the choir on the altar and also to the Choir practice room for the Coffee House Service.

The Computer Projection Operator is responsible for checking the slides and adding the scripture verses and integrating the lyric slides that are prepared each week by Karen. Information on what will be needed arrives via email around Thursday.  We use Prologue Sunday Plus software. (check it out at  http://www.prologue.cc/ ) The occasional movie (DVD or VCR) keeps things interesting.

Last but not least is the Sound person.  This involves verifying that the systems are all working and managing audio mix and level.  The sound person also operates the computer that produces the live internet broadcast.

In addition we have team members responsible for t he preparation of the slides, media for the youth services, and maintenance of our web sites. If you think your gifts could be engaged in God's work in our media team, drop us a note. We will train you.

If you think you would be interested in joining the team, drop us an email.
