About Us Chancel Choir
An invitation …
The Chancel Choir of The First Presbyterian Church of Sparta is a God-centered, fun-loving, group of brothers and sisters in Christ who seek to lead the congregation in corporate worship. What we desire, more than professional vocalists, are hearts that want to grow in the Lord, hearts that yearn to bless our Lord in song, to lift His name above all names, to facilitate the worship ministry at Sparta Presbyterian.
You don’t need lots of experience, you don’t even have to audition (although you should be able to carry a tune)!
If you have musical talent to share, or if you would like to grow musically, we invite you to prayerfully consider ministering to the Lord and His people by singing with the chancel choir.
We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00. Prayer and Bible study are important parts of our time together, as we seek to grow spiritually as well as musically. Child care is available, if needed. We sing primarily at the 8:30 worship service and occasionally at the 10:00 service.
